INTRODUCTION
Zacatecas is home to the "Central Railroad," which runs from the State of Mexico to the State of Chihuahua.
HISTORY
In the middle of the Sixteenth Century, Zacatecas was a part of what the Spaniards referred to as La Gran Chichimeca.
Though never conquered by Aztecs, this area was home to several tribes, such as the Zacatecos, Cazcanes, Guachichiles, and the Tepehoanes.

CATHEDRAL
The Cathedral is one of Mexico's most awesome colonial treasures that features pink cantera stone, which in different lighting can turn from light pink to burnt orange. The Cathedral was built between 1707-52, with the exception of the massive bell towers, which were added later.
PLAZA DE ARMAS
The Plaza de Armas dates back to the 18th century. To the north is the former residence of the state's governors, a stately neoclassic two-story building.
The Palacio de Gobierno, which was a private residence, is located in the eastern side of the square and was built in 1727. With its white exterior, the Palacio is trimmed with soft pink stone and features wrought iron balconies.
ACUEDUCTO DEL CUBO
Built in the late 18th century, the Acueducto Del Cubo greets you with thirty-nine thick, rose-colored arches at the southern entrance of the city, and was once a conduit for water to the city.
LA MINA EL EDEN
