Jungle Adventure

Archaeological site of Becan, Chicanna and Xpujil
The style of the Chenes shows baroque characteristics in the facade of the buildings. The entrances of these resemble the mouth of a monster, the principal gate represents a great mouth of the Chac God with large canine teeth which project over the lintel. You will see also the main building in Xpuhil has three enormous towers constructed in the architectural style of Rio Bec, with twelve rooms and platforms in whose center is a recess surrounded by a head of a serpent. In addition, there is a beautiful mask like a tiger which faces Becan.
Kayaking
Mangrove trees constitute the very core of the coastal ecological cycle. They are uniquely adapted to living in salty water, and provide protection from coastal erosion. Fungus that grows on the dead, fallen leaves provides nourishment for small crustaceans and birds. Some of the trees reach heights of up to 85 feet.
Kayaking in these still waters requires no previous experience--just good physical condition, and a youthful spirit, coupled with a love of nature.
Bicycle Adventure
An adventurous and exciting tour which combines mountain biking, a visit to an underground cave, and ends with a refreshing dip into the crystalline waters of a tenuously lit cenote. The 35 kms. traveled during this 3 to 4 hour adventure include three rest stops, visits to 2 archaeological sites, a henequen hacienda, an underground cave, and time to swim in two cenotes.
