World War II Memorial Washington DC

The World War II Memorial was dedicated in 2004. This memorial is breathtaking, solemn, and an impressive dedication to those who served in WWII.

Pillars with wreaths, representing each state, surround a pond with fountains; at opposite points on the circle are small viewing areas. A favorite spot for tourists, it is a wonderful photo opportunity as well as a spot for rest and quiet reflection.
