Whisky A Go Go

In the ‘60s and ‘70s, the Whisky was where many rock bands finally got the big break they’d been yearning for. The Doors, The Who, Led Zeppelin, and Buffalo Springfield all played at the Whisky on the Sunset Strip. The club popularized go-go dancing in the ‘60s and was a staple in the emerging punk rock movement of the late ‘70s, as well as the grunge scene in the early ‘90s.
