Weiser Idaho

Weiser....a great undiscovered area of Southwestern Idaho. Bordering the Snake River, Weiser is best known for being the home of the National Old Time Fiddler's Contest which takes place annually, the third full week of June.

Weiser is also known as the Gateway to Hell's Canyon, the deepest gorge in the US. Outdoor sports abound! A true sportsman's paradise offering fishing, hunting, water sports, hiking, golf, tennis, and easy access to winter skiing.

Weiser is a wonderful town with friendly people!

Elevation is 2114 feet (some winter snow to make it beautiful and scenic, but not enough to have to dig out of it). The Weiser River provides 83 miles of scenic walking trails! Boise, the state capital, is only 71 miles away. Payette is 12 miles with a population of 7200. Caldwell is 45 miles and is home to wonderful wineries. Hells Canyon is 50 miles and provides great white water activities and tours. Fruitland is 20 miles with a population of 3800. Emmett is 41 miles, population of 5200. McCall is 89 miles and is a beautiful spot for summer water sports and recreation on Payette lake. In the winter, great skiing!!! Ontario, Oregon is 20 miles away and is the closest major city with a population of 11,000.
