Vlora Albania

INTRODUCTION

Set on the coast, Vlora is one of the major ports of Albania and is also of great historical importance as an independent state, which set up the first National Government, headed by Ismail Qemali. You can learn more about the background of this event at the Museum of Independence. On a hill above the city, you can enjoy the religious site of Kuzum Baba. From there you can see the beach and get a great view of the whole city. Residents of Vlora go to the main beach where the Adriatic Sea meets the Ionian sea, where they fill water bottles at the mineral water spring.
