Villa Borghese Rome

The Villa Borghese is Rome's version of a central park. It is a great area to take children, but the best part of the park is the Villa itself which is home to a number of beautiful sculptures. These are the private collections of the Borghese family, especially of Scipione Borghese who was a collector of Bernini and Caravaggio. The must-see works are Bernini's sculptures Apollo and Daphne, David and the Rape of Proserpine.
