Vancouver British Columbia English Bay BeachEstablished in 1898, when sand was added to the shore line. The name 'English Bay' commemorates the meeting of the British Captain Vancouver and Spanish captains Valdes and Galiano, in 1792. This is the event that also resulted in Spanish Banks' name. This is a great spot to suntan and watch the world go by.
