Umava Czech Republic

For large, tranquil forests, you can't do better than the Šumava Mountains. The oldest mountains in the Czech Republic, the Šumava Mountains, two rounded ranges with high plains and moors between them, are fantastic for hiking. Although the mountains are bad for cycling on the hiking trails, the many dirt roads are good for an adventurous and challenging ride.
