Topkapi Palace

Topkapi Palace was the home of the Ottoman Sultans for 400 of their 600-year reign. The palace now serves as a tourist attraction, allowing visitors to see the the bath houses where the sultan and his wives bathed, the ornately decorated tiles in each room and the Harem, where the sultan's mother, wives and concubines lived. The palace also serves as a museum, and houses many jewels and priceless Turkish artifacts, including the Prophet Mohammed's cloak and sword.
