Tijuana Mexico

Known as the "Most visited city in the world," Tijuana is located in a region, once inhabited by the Kumeyaay Indians, which is a tribe of Yuman-speaking hunter-gatherers.

The international border crossing between San Ysidro? and Tijuana is the busiest port of entry in the United States. There is also no border charge to enter the city of Tijuana.

Visitors to the northern part of Baja? do not need passports or tourist cards, if staying in the country for 72 hours or less. If you stay longer or travel beyond Ensenada?, a tourist card is required. Even though the card is free, proof of U.S. citizenship is still required.

If you decide to drive, you need to purchase Mexican insurance, because United States or Canadian automobile liability insurance is not valid in Mexico nor is most collision and comprehensive coverage issued by United States insurance companies. You can purchase it at the border or online. The cost of daily insurance is $10 per day.

Attractions include bullfighting, fishing, greyhound racing, rodeo, shopping at Plaza Rio, and whale watching.
