The Spanish Riding SchoolThe Spanish Riding School, where the art of equitation has been practiced and cultivated since 1572, is the oldest riding school in the world. The Spanish Riding School practices classical dressage, the equestrian art of riding in harmony with the horse. Elegant white Lipizzaner horses are bred in Slovenia and trained extensively to perform Renaissance-style tricks and routines to classical music. Tickets can be expensive, but the exquisite performances are worth it.
