The Sixth Floor Museum examines the life and legacy of John F. Kennedy, Jr. The museum is located in close proximity to the spot where he was shot. It is given the name "Sixth Floor Museum" because the sixth floor of the building is where the sniper's nest and rifle were found.
The museum contains many exhibits. Topics include life in the 1960s, why Kennedy was visiting Texas, views of Dealey Plaza from the window and investigations into the crime.
The museum offers an audio tour that lasts 90 minutes and is available in seven languages. There is also a version for children in English.
There is a gift store associated with the museum, and visitors can check out the store without having to pay the museum admission price (see the website for admission prices: http://jfk.org/(approve sites)).
