The city of Budapest is built over natural springs, which allows locals and tourists to enjoy swimming & bathing in a unique way. The water funneled from the ground has been said to be able to cure diseases and illnesses. There are a number of thermal baths in the Budapest area. Two of the most popular baths are the Kiraly Baths & the Szechenyi Baths. The Kiraly Baths is a single sex bath: Women are allowed on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and Men are allowed on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The Kiraly Baths are not only rich in water, but also in history; the structure has been standing since the 16th century. The Szechenyi Baths have a great location and no gender limitations. They are located near the Budapest Zoo, in the city park.
