When in Stowe, take the time to stop by Emily's Bridge?. It's a simple covered bridge, but the history, and tragic story within, is for anyone whose heart can feel the pain of a love lost. Say a prayer, leave some flowers, or even talk to Emily while walking through the bridge and overlooking the stream. Emily’s Bridge has even been visited by the TV show "Ghost Hunters."
Visit the Trapp Family Lodge, home of the actual family whose story was Disney-tized in "The Sound of Music." You should also see Mount Mansfield.
