The 605 foot Space Needle was designed for the 1962 World's Fair, held in Seattle.
Visitors to the space needle can pay to ride the elevator to the upper levels where they can get a panoramic view of the city of Seattle. The viewing deck rotates so that one doesn't even have to walk to take in all of sites.
The Space Needle also features a revolving restaurant where diners can enjoy a meal and a view at the same time. The Sky City restaurant offers a variety of foods, including brunch, lunch, and dinner. The prices are moderate to high, with most entrees costing between $35 and $50. The elevator ride and visit to the observation deck are complimentary with a restaurant reservation.
