Southern Madagascar

Southern Madagascar is know for its forests of twisted, spiny trees and its' famous baobabs which are thoasands of years old and appear to be upside down, which can be seen the best at the Avenue du Boabab.

The area is also known for its quiet beaches north and south of the sea side fishng villages that dot the coast line. Bird watching is also good here or you can take a trip in a Pirogue across the mangrove swamps near Morondava.
