INTRODUCTION
South Stradbroke Island is located in the state of Queensland, Australia, east of the Gold Coast. Once there, you can get a glimpse of humpback whales migrating down to Antarctica and tons of fantastic flora and fauna in this nature-friendly environment. The area is fairly quiet, even though it is mainly designed for tourists, and is a peaceful option compared to the Gold Coast. As you take in the aromas of gumball trees and other scents, even the air seems more natural.
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
Since there are no bridges connecting the island to the mainland, boat is the main form of transportation to the island, so be prepared to take a ferry or a smaller boat over.
