Smithsonian Institution Building

Also known as "The Castle" due to its distinctive architecture, the Smithsonian Institution Building is the headquarters of the Smithsonian Institute. This is the best place to stop and get your bearings as you begin your journey through the Smithsonian museums. There are two information desks here as well as a 10-minute orientation video. The Smithsonian Institution Building also features several changing exhibits.
