INTRODUCTION

Santo Domingo is the capital and largest city of Dominican Republic. It has a population of approximately 2.5 million and was founded in 1494. This city is regarded as the place where South America's modern history began.

Climate: Because of its location in the Caribbean and its tropical climate, the country is extremely vulnerable to hurricanes and tropical storms. December and January are the coolest months of the year here and July and August are the warmest.
