The best place to eat (maybe one of the only places to eat) in Sanger is Babe's, a family-style restaurant that never disappoints.

Babe's only offers six entrees: fried chicken, chicken fried steak, fried chicken tenders, smoked chicken, fried catfish and pot roast. Don't let that scare you, though. The portions are big, and they aren't the only food you'll get.

Your waitress will outfit the table with copious amounts of side dishes that are shared by everyone you're sitting with. The sides are Southern classics like corn, biscuits and gravy.

The building looks like an old barn on the outside, and the inside is outfitted with fun decor like cardboard cutouts, stuffed and mounted animals and a fake cowboy. To add to the authentic Texas atmosphere, country music is always playing loudly.

Besides the number of entrees, Babe's has another unique characteristic that sets it apart from other restaurants. Occasionally, one of the waitresses will take a break from serving tables to sing something. The live entertainment makes the experience even better.

For anyone visiting the Dallas area, Babe's in Sanger is a must for travelers who want a full Southern experience. The food and atmosphere are worth every penny you pay for your meal.
