Route 66 Museum
San Bernardino’s claim to fame is the site of the first ever McDonald’s restaurant, which opened in 1940. The restaurant was demolished in 1972, and the current building on its site currently serves as a Route 66 historical museum.
Robert V. Fullerton Museum of Art
The Robert V. Fullerton Museum of Art contains a very large collection of antique Egyptian artifacts. The museum is located on the campus of California State University, San Bernardino, and also houses collections from Italy and China as well as rotating exhibits.
San Bernardino Railroad & History Museum
Noted for its architecture and preservation, the San Bernardino Railroad & History Museum is located at the historic Santa Fe railroad depot.
California Theater of the Performing Arts
The California Theater of the Performing Arts was built in 1928 and is San Bernardino’s main performing arts venue. Another historic theater in the city is the recently restored Fox Theater, built a year after the California Theater of the Performing Arts.
