Also, known as "The Rockies," the Rocky Mountains is a great place to visit all year long. Being a broad mountain range in western North America, they stretch more than 3,000 miles from British Columbia, in Canada, to New Mexico, in the United States. The Continental Divide is located in the Rocky Mountains and designates the line where waters flow either to the Atlantic or Pacific Oceans.
The National Park has 359 miles of trail, which offer endless opportunities to hikers, backpackers, and horseback riders. The beautiful landscape makes a wonderful experience for photographers and birdwatchers. In the winter, the snow blankets the entire region and makes for a winter wonderland of meadows and forestry for snowshoers and cross-country skiers.
