INTRODUCTION

Rio de Janeiro is one of the top destinations for the world’s travelers. Although no longer the capital of Brazil, Rio de Janeiro, or simply "Rio," is likely still the country's most famous city with its Carnaval celebrations, beautiful natural settings, lavish beaches, and renowned musical and dance heritage. The Carnaval, which takes place every year, is one of the most popular events in Rio. The celebration lasts 4 days and 4 nights. Specific dates for this event vary year by year during the months of February or March. Take a trip up Sugar Loaf Mountain and get a 360-degree view of Rio. There are amazing beaches to be seen in Rio, including the Copacabana beach resort. Rio is also well-known for its vibrant nightlife. There is a wealth of nightclubs, discos, and live music shows to choose from.

Maracana Stadium: If you are a sports fan, enjoying a game at this famous soccer stadium is a must.

Corcovado: One of Brazil’s best known tourist landmarks, this concrete statue stands a little over 98 ft. At the base you have a magnificent view of Rio, the Guanabara Bay, and Niteroi.
