The Ankarana nature park is best known for its large concentrations of Lemurs which are endemic to Madagascar.
The landscape of the park is spectacular with its fields of razor sharp pinnacles called tsingy. Below, the limestone massif is pierced by caves and canyons. Between sheer cliffs, sunken tropical deciduous forests harbour rare wildlife.
As well as the Lemurs, you can also find ringtailed mongoose, Fossa, tenrecs and Madagascar striped civet. There is good birding and prolific reptile and invertebrate life.
There are campsites throughout the park and trails you can walk or drive. Guides are also available.
