Home of the famous predictor of the arrival of spring--"Punxsutawney Phil," the groundhog. Gobblers Knob is the groundhog's home for most of the year, but in summer, you can see Punxsutawney Phil at his own little zoo.
Check out area history at the Punxsutawney Museum. Take a bike ride on the Mahoning Shadow Trail, scenic and popular with those who enjoy hiking as well.
During the Summer, don't miss the Groundhog Festival and Battle of the Bands. There are also 30 Punxsutawney Phil sculptures each decorated with painstaking detail.
Two of the best places to eat are "Nick's Corner Lunch" which has great loose meat sandwiches. "Laska's Pizza" which is by far the best Pizza around.
