Portobello Market is a large outdoor event that happens every Saturday, mostly located on Portobello Road in Notting Hill (Notting Hill Gate is the nearest tube stop). It is known for its pricey antiques, fresh produce (sometimes cheaper than in the supermarket!), clothes, crafts and more. There is also plenty of hot food and places to grab a bite if you are planning on spending some hours there. Be warned: Portobello Market can get very crowded, as it is a popular site for Londoners and tourists. If you prefer a calmer atmosphere, there are dozens of antique shops along Portobello Road open all week, so you can still shop for antiques without having to deal with crowds.
