Considered the cultural center of Geneva, Place Neuve contains museums and theatres. The Rath Museum displays modern and ancient art, and the Conservatory of Music has hosted many famous musicians throughout its history. The Grand Theatre is a replica of Paris’ Opera Garni and features operas.
Nearby Place Neuve: Constructed in 1894 as a performance venue for a brass band, the Victoria Hall is a Rococo-style building that mainly features classical music performances. The Bâtiment des Forces-Motrices, a former power plant, now entertains visitors in its concert hall with operas on the waterfront.
