Pier 39 San Francisco

Sea Lions
K-Dock Sea Lions

Pier 39 features a wide variety of seafood dining, unique shopping and entertainment. Arguably its main attraction, the Aquarium of the Bay Museum allows you to walk through 300 feet of clear tunnels while surrounded by the thousands of marine animals the Aquarium

houses.

Located in San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf district, Pier 39 gives a perfect view of the Golden Gate and Bay Bridges, Alcatraz, Angel Island on San Francisco Bay and the City skyline.

Carousel
Pier 39's Carousel

Over one hundred unique shops and restaurants adorn this bi-level complex. In the center, one can take a turn on the two-tiered carousel that was handcrafted in Italy. The tiers feature scenes from the local area, and is the only one like it in the nation.

Visit Bubba Gump's Shrimp Co. Restaurant and Market and partake in a little bit of movie magic; one can even slip their feet into his shoes just outside the door. Many of the restaurants in the complex, such as Neptune's Palace Seafood Restaurant, overlook the Bay, so one can have a great view to compliment their meal.

In the West Marina K-Dock of Pier 39, visit the world-famous sea lions as they sunbath on their private rafts. A small group stays year-round here providing ample entertainment for all ages. On the second level of the complex, there are informative sites about the sea lions and the Marine Mammal Center’s Interpretive Center and Gift Store. The Sea Lion Cafe gives you a bite to eat with a great view of these majestic animals.

At the entrance to Pier 39, street performers appear on a daily basis. And if up early enough during the summer, on the second level a fresh farmer's market is open, which makes for terrific breakfasts and snacks!
