Oxford Street, one of the world's longest shopping streets, has more than 300 shops and flagship stores. You can shop for anything here, from fashion to books and even groceries. Comparable in popularity to Times Square in New York, the area has a seemingly constant crowd of tourists and locals who wish they hadn't chosen to do their shopping on this street.
Oxford Street is lit up with Christmas lights from mid-November until the beginning of January. The lights are turned on every year by a celebrity. Past celebs have included the Spice Girls (1996), Enrique Iglesias (2003) and Emma Watson (2004).
