Auld Dubliner: The Auld Dubliner is an Irish pub in Tustin that has good Guinness and other Irish beers on tap and offers good Irish food such as boxty and fish and chips. It’s a great place to hang out, grab a few beers with some friends, and enjoy the live music.
Muldoon’s: Across the street from Fashion Island, Muldoon’s is the area’s best-kept secret. The cozy Irish pub is one of the most authentic in the area; it combines the warmth and tradition of the Irish spirit with modern class and sophistication, just like many Dublin pubs. The Guinness Brewing Company awarded Muldoon’s with the Guinness Perfect Pint Award, certifying that the pub pulls a proper pint of Guinness. Not surprisingly, the Guinness is fresh and among the best you can get in the United States, and the Irish menu of shepherd’s pie, Irish stew, and all-you-can-eat fish and chips on Wednesdays doesn’t disappoint.
Yardhouse: The premier place for beer connoisseurs, Yardhouse boasts the world’s largest selection of draught beer – up to 250 kinds of ales and lagers on tap. If you’re not sure what you want, you can order up to three shot-glass tasters for $1-$2 each. The beer menu also suggests several combinations of beers and ciders, such as Snakebite (pear cider and Harp lager) and Black & Tan (Guinness and Bass Ale). Beers are served in pints, goblets, or 32-oz. half-yard glasses. Though the beer is what attracts most people to the restaurant, it also has great food for dinner or appetizers.
Dave & Buster’s: Dave & Buster’s at the Irvine Spectrum is a bar and entertainment lounge, with a full arcade, two full bars, and pool tables. Its superb happy hour serves up half-price appetizers and cocktails, making it a cheap place to grab a drink for around $3. After 10pm, the venue becomes 21+ only and charges a nominal cover fee, for which you receive a video game playing card.
Huntington Beach Beer Company: This brewery is close to the beach, brews its own beer, and serves classic brewery fare like burgers and pizza.
