Old Town Square

The most famous square in Prague swarms with people throughout the prime hours of the day. The Old Town Square is rich in history and atmosphere, and gives visitors picturesque opportunities to capture some of Prague’s most memorable monuments. The Astronomical Clock is a sight to see in itself. The world-famous clock was built in 1410 and does things that most clocks cannot, such as track the phase of the seasons, the moon, and important Christian holidays. The center of the square is home to the Jan Hus Memorial, a famous statue that was built in 1915. Inside Old Town Square is St. Nicholas Church, an 800-year-old church with greenish baroque spires on the outside and a beautiful interior. The Church of Our Lady before Tın is a symbol of Prague and a striking example of Gothic architecture.
