INTRODUCTION

HISTORY
The city was established in 1889 when the area was opened to settlers during the 'Oklahoma Land Run'. By the time Oklahoma was inducted as a state in 1907, this town had already become the industrial and populated center. Since then, industry has continued to grow making this city a major site for oil production as well as a major interchange on the Interstate Highway System.
