INTRODUCTION

Known as "The Rose of New England," Norwich is located on three rivers: the Yantic, the Shetucket and the Thames.

HISTORY

Norwich was founded in 1659, after settlers from Old Saybrook bought the land, which was owned by Chief Uncas, the leader of Native American Tribe Mohegan.
