Napoleons Tomb Paris

Napoleon's Tomb
Hôtel des Invalides

Napoleon's tomb is housed in the central crypt of the Dome Church in Paris. You won't have trouble finding the church because the entire dome is covered in gold and is almost blinding in the sunlight because of its magnificence. Inside, the dome is beautifully painted but the tomb itself takes the cake. Even though Napoleon was notorious for being small, because of his power, his tomb is notoriously large, measuring 14 feet high, 13 feet long and 6 feet wide. Inside the massive sarcophagus, not one but six concentric coffins protect the emperor’s remains. Considering he died in exile on the Isle of St. Helena, he got a pretty good burial site, probably one of the best in history!
