Mount Washington Cog Railway New Hampshire

This year marks the 140th anniversary of the renowned Mount Washington Cog Railway. A ride on the Cog Railway lasts for approximately three hours and will take you on a journey filled with excitement and beautiful scenery. The railway tracks at Mount Washington are some of the steepest in existence, meaning that you are provided with high quality sights and sounds throughout the duration of the ride.

Depending on the clarity of the weather, you may be able to see four states, as well as Quebec and the Atlantic Ocean, on your railway journey. On other days, it will seem like you are floating amongst the clouds as you achieve remarkable heights on the ride. At the base of the Mount Washington Cog Railway there is a gift shop, a restaurant, and a compelling museum.

Between June 27 and September 4, the Mount Washington Cog Railway is conducting special sales that will help families to come together and enjoy this breathtaking scenic experience at a reduced rate.
