Morgantown is a wild and wonderful college town in the mountain state. Nestled in the Appalachian mountains, this town is home to West Virginia University. Hailed as the largest city in the mountain state, second only to the capital of Charleston, Morgantown is home to plenty of diverse life that is sure to please any tourist!
Nightlife in Morgantown is rich. Many bars and clubs add fun and hipness to the town. Although college age students usually pack the bars, there are tons of 21+ bars to escape college students. The unique 123 Pleasant Street offers lots of great local and touring musicians - really funky bar!
Morgantown also provides lots of culture! Home to a thriving environmentalist community, Morgantown has a liberal goddess meets traditional Southern belle attitude. NPR's famous Mountain Stage show often hosts many of its shows right in the heart of Morgantown at the university's Creative Arts Center. Though close to Pittsburgh, Morgantown has a life of its own!
