With over 94 different species of animal, some of them nearing extinction, Mole National Park in Ghana is an extraordinary place.
It is a remote and difficult place to get to (although it is apparently the most visited park) but the ride there can be a scenic adventure in its self.
The best way to navigate your way around is on a walking safari with one of the armed rangers in the early morning. (best time for sightings)
Once you are finished with your adventure, take a trip to nearby Larabanga which has the oldest, and best preserved example of a mud and stick mosque in Ghana.
