The Toronto Zoo is a 'must see'. With more than 5000 animals and six miles of walking trails, it is one of the largest zoos in the world. The zoo constantly has new events to keep people visiting and there are more than 1.2 million visitors each year.
The animal feedings are quite a sight to see, particularly observing the polar bears at lunchtime: don't miss it! The zoo is separated into pavillions and outdoor exhibits. Each pavillion represents a continent. The Orangutans are always entertaining and seeing the elephants bathe is a sight as well!
There are also large picnic areas, and you can either bring your own lunch or purchase food from a fast-food restaurant. The zoo is fairly accessible for handicapped individuals and is filled with shows and other attractions. Anyone visiting the Toronto area should put a visit to the Toronto Zoo on their 'to do' list!
