Mercat De La Boqueria

Mercat de la Boqueria, "Barcelona's Market", is located just off of La Rambla. The market is filled with live fish, fresh produce, meat, and even candy. It is also, of course, filled with people. The market is a popular destination in town. Even if you do not plan on buying food, it is a worthwhile trip to witness the everyday life of the locals, interact with the salespeople, and soak in the environment.
