The King Center is located in the heart of the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historic Site. The center was founded by King's late wife, Coretta Scott King.
The King Center houses and archives the papers of Martin Luther King, Jr., and studies his life and work at the forefront of the civil rights movement.
The King Center District includes Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birth home, and is encircled by a tranquil reflecting pool, the final resting place of Martin Luther King, Jr.
More than just a visitors site, the King Center is the home of ongoing study and work toward the mission of non-violent social change. Entry to the King Center is free, but donations toward the ongoing work of the Center are accepted.
