INTRODUCTION
The capital city of Managua is Nicaragua’s business center and capital. It has the Las Huellas de Acahualinca museum, where 9000 year-old footprints can be found. A tourist can also take visits to Lagunas, Lake Managua which offers boats-for-hire or see the volcanoes Mombotombo and Masaya.
HISTORY
Two earthcuakes distroyed the city in 1931 and 1972 affecting primarly city's center. This might be the only "affected by earthcuakes" city in the world where rubbles after a 1972 earthcuake can be found.

ATTRACTIONS
"Tiscapa Lake", "Palacio Nacional de Cultura", "Nueva Catedral de Managua", "Managua's Historic Ruins". If theater is your thing, go to the "National Teather". "Roberto Huembes Market" is a very safe place for tourists where they can buy typical objects.
RESTAURANTS
Two of the best restaurants in town are "El Paladar Nica" (local food, home style cook, local fruit juices like Tiste, Pitahaya or Cacao and desserts), "Etnico Bar Cafe" offers a tranquil environment where music and food meet. "Haryl's Grill y Bar Restaurante Argentino" (argentinian grill) and "Pelican Eyes Piedras y Olas" located at the hotel named the same, offers gourmet and local food. Those are just a few options.
