INTRODUCTION

Lucerne is a beautiful city in central Switzerland, located on Lake Lucerne. It is mainly known as a tourist city for its many interesting attractions.

Lucerne grew from a small fishing village into a popular tourist destination.

ATTRACTIONS

Chapel Bridge-This famous wooden bridge was almost completely destroyed by a fire in 1993, but has since been rebuilt.

Old Town Lucerne-In this historic part of the city, eight tall watch towers still stand.

Lion Monument-The famous carving of a dying lion commemorates the hundreds of Swiss Guards killed in a massacre during the French Revolution.

Mount Pilatus-This gorgeous mountain near Lucerne is a popular tourist attraction not only because of the undescribable view, but also because of the journey to the top and back riding in boats, on railways, and in cablecars and gondolas.

Stedkellar-This restaurant serves traditional Swiss food, and offers entertainment, including yodeling and dancing.
