Lake Victoria Travel GuideLake Victoria is the largest of the Great Rift Valley lakes, the largest lake in Africa and the largest tropical lake in the world. It is land locked by Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. The lake is the source of the river Nile that flows north as far as Egypt. The river starts at the lakeside town of Jinja where you can see the mighty river go down the Bujagali falls.  There Ssese islands Archipelago consists of 84 islands and has unspoiled, beautiful nature and very friendly Islanders. The islands range from the larger ones with hotels, camping grounds and restaurants to tiny ones with little or no inhabitants. Boats leave from near Entebbe and the larger islands have scheduled ferrys.
