La Romana Dominican RepublicLa Romana is located an hour and a half away from Santo Domingo. The sugar industry is very important to this town's economy. Sports are also a big deal in this area where golf courses, swimming pools, tennis, tennis centers, equestrian stables, polo grounds, and shooting stations are everywhere to be found. And for those interested in culture there is a Taino museum and amphiteather. Shops, restaurants, and an amazing coral reef are other wonderful attractions.
