La RamblaLa Rambla is winding, tree-lined avenue in Barcelona known for its entertainment possibilities and a statue of Christopher Columbus at the end. This exciting, bustling section of the city features people at all hours of the day, doing everything from sipping sangria at an outdoor cafe to going to a market to buy fruit to purchasing designer clothing at a nice store. In many ways its openness and diversity represent everything Barcelona is about. One of the highlights of La Rambla is the spectacular street performers, dressed in everything from trees to cows to tin men. Be aware that the performers get very upset if you take pictures of them before dropping some money in the buckets at their feet.
