The Krannert Center for the Performing Arts was founded in 1969, as a gift from a former University of Illinois alum. Though it is used in some cases as the instructional facility of select classes in the College of Fine and Applied Arts on the University campus, it is more well-known for its hosting of many theater and music festivals such as the Wall-to-Wall Guitar Festival on its 7-acre grounds. Many world-known performers also make tour stops at the Krannert Center.
Having undergone many recent renovations to make the building bigger and more modern, the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts is an architectural sight to behold.
