The Krannert Art Museum, founded in 1961 is second largest art museum in the state of Illinois.
The Museum boasts ten galleries with 15 changing exhibits each year. It also famously houses over 9,000 works of art from various periods of time.
Though the building is part of the College of Fine and Applied Arts in South campus, the museum is open to everyone. According to the University of Illinois website, the museum services an audience of over 132,000 each year.
