Kourou VenezuelaNorth of Cayenne is the coastal town of Kourou, the Space Port of Europe. The French Guyanese Space Center offers a free tour that lasts about four hours, and includes a film which tells the history of the Space Center, visits the Jupiter control center, and details the launch of Ariane 4 and Ariane 5. You can also visit the historical site of the infamous prison, Devil’s Island, located only ten miles off the coast of Kourou.
