Kitty Hawk is one of the largest townships on the Outer Banks. Located in Dare County, and along the Albemarle Sound, this village has shady lanes that wind along the marshes, quaint clapboard cottages, and fishing boats that line a series of canals leading to the open, blue waters.
Once a remote location, Kitty Hawk is now one of the best beaches on the North Carolina coast. One of the many attractions to discover is the Aycock Brown Visitors Center. This center includes 17 state-of-the-art displays, a theater, and brochure gazebo.
